Multi-Camera Setups
Professional live event coverage and multi-camera production across Italy.
Multi-camera setups use two or more cameras at once to fully cover scenes, events, or performances. From Sanremo Festival broadcasts to concerts at Milan's San Siro and live events at Cinecittà Studios, this approach speeds up the shoot, keeps each take matched across angles, and gives editors many views of every moment.
We build multi-camera rigs with matched camera bodies, synced settings, and joined-up monitor kit across Rome, Milan, Naples, and Florence. Our team works alongside the broadcast setup tied to Cinecittà, Europe's largest studio with its newly expanded LED wall, drawing on Italy's deep RAI broadcast tradition and live music heritage.

Italian multi-cam from Sanremo to Serie A
Multi-camera production in Italy plugs straight into the country's broadcast core. Rai, Mediaset, Sky Italia and La7 run one of Europe's deepest live-event scenes. Each year the calendar is anchored by the Festival di Sanremo at the Teatro Ariston, Eurovision-Italy at the PalaOlimpico in Turin, the Sanremo Giovani showcases, the David di Donatello ceremony at Cinecittà, and Serie A and Champions League broadcasts from San Siro, the Stadio Olimpico and the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
Our crew uses matched cinema and broadcast bodies: Sony PXW-FX9, FX6 and HDC system cameras, plus ARRI Amira and RED Komodo for cinema looks. We bring them to these venues and to Cinecittà Studios, Milan Fashion Week runways at Palazzo Reale and the Triennale, Florence's Pitti shows at the Fortezza da Basso, and the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. They also cover concerts at the Arena di Verona, the Roman amphitheatres of Pompeii and Taormina, and the Lucca Summer Festival. Rigs run from three cameras up to twelve-plus, spanning jibs, Steadicam, hard cameras, robotic Polecam positions, RF roving units and POV inserts. Every camera syncs to a single house clock with redundant timecode, Tally and intercom infrastructure.
Production runs through skilled Italian directors and vision mixers, many trained inside Rai's Roma Saxa Rubra and Mediaset's Cologno Monzese facilities. They work out of OB vans drawn from the Rai-anchored fleet, one of the largest in Europe. Each van carries Sony, Grass Valley or Ross vision-mixing desks, multi-channel Calrec audio, character power packs graphics, EVS replay and recording backup on board.
Our team delivers clean switched programme feeds plus ISO recordings for each camera. We send satellite or fibre uplink to TV networks and streaming CDNs, and IMAG to in-venue screens at the Stadio Olimpico, the San Siro or the Arena di Verona. When global rights audiences need Italian, English and other commentary on separate tracks, we provide live multi-language feeds.
Schedules are built around Rai, Mediaset, Sky and EBU broadcast specs. Our team handles the MiC and Italian Film Commission forms when a shoot claims the forty-per-cent global tax credit under the Cinema Italian Plan. That credit covers multi-camera capture for branded content, scripted concert films, sports rights bundles and live broadcast packages. We observe IAP self-rules across any branded segments, and confirm CCNL Cinema Audiovisivo crew agreements plus ENPALS and INAIL coverage before each stage day.
Live multi-camera work lives or dies on load-in time. So we plan each schedule around the venue window. We sequence camera placement, cable runs and OB van setup to fit the access hours. We run full tech rehearsals before the broadcast goes live. For back-to-back events, we pre-rig fixed positions and rehearse switching early. We then keep the strike inside the venue's turnaround slot.
FAQ
Live Production Expertise
How many cameras can you deploy?
We often run setups from 3 to 12+ cameras, based on the scale of the event. For major concerts at Stadio San Siro or events at Cinecittà's Studio 22, we can field large camera packages with specialty positions like jibs, roving cameras, and POV units.
Do you provide live switching and direction?
Yes. Our multi-camera packages include skilled vision mixers and directors who switch between cameras in real time for a polished live edit. We can deliver a switched program feed, ISO recordings, or both.
Can you live stream our event?
Yes. We offer full live streaming, with encoding, CDN delivery, and platform management for YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, or custom platforms. We can also provide satellite uplink for broadcast.
What about IMAG for live audiences?
We run IMAG (Image Magnification) for concerts and events, feeding live camera coverage to venue screens so the audience can see close-ups of performers and speakers.
Do you have OB van facilities?
We work with pro OB (Outside Broadcast) vans fitted with switching desks, tracking, audio mixing, and all the kit a live job needs. Italy's RAI-anchored broadcast sector runs one of Europe's largest OB van fleets.
How far in advance should we book?
For major events, book 4-6 weeks ahead so we can secure the gear and plan it well. Smaller multi-camera shoots can often be set up with 1-2 weeks notice.
