Italian Footage, Finished to Brief

Here is how this works in practice. Post-prod for Italy-shot material carries its own distinct demands: rich, saturated Mediterranean colour palettes, multilingual dialogue tracks, and location audio recorded in some of Europe's most acoustically tricky spaces — from stone-walled churches in Florence and the open-air markets of Bologna to the ancient piazzas of Palermo and Lecce. Our post-prod team transforms raw footage into polished, broadcast-ready content with the precision and creative confidence each project needs, working to tight global delivery schedules and sites-specific technical specs across film, television, and digital formats.

Roman editors and colourists on calibrated, reference-grade displays — every spec from broadcast master to theatrical DCP.

Here is the short of it. Our Editing service takes footage from the first sync through Rough Cut to Final Cut, with editors versed in Narrative and Documentary styles as well as Multi-cam sync workflows. Color fix and Grading are handled by colorists who know how Italian light behaves across seasons and how to honour that quality in the grade. Interview and dialogue edits is addressed with care for pacing and authenticity, making sure Italian-language and multilingual productions communicate clearly to every target audience on any sites.

FAQs

Post-Production FAQs

Answers about timelines, deliverables, and how we handle your post-production needs.

What's included in post-production services?

The entire process begins with dailies which continue until the final delivery stage. The editing process takes place offline through Avid or Premiere before moving to online conform for VFX integration and DaVinci color sessions and Pro Tools sound editorial with Foley and ADR when required and ending with a final mix on a stage that has been calibrated. We handle all the technical handoffs so you're not managing separate vendors. Deliverables come QC'd to spec—whether that's a Netflix IMF, a Italy Télévisions broadcast master, or encrypted DCPs for theatrical.

How long does post-production typically take?

The offline lock period for commercials runs from 2-3 weeks until the project finishes its final stage. The production timeline for documentaries spans eight to twelve weeks because it depends on the amount of work required to clear archives and conduct interview transcription. The development process requires 16–24 weeks for projects that include substantial visual effects work but the duration becomes shorter for other types of projects.'s dialogue-driven. We've done emergency turnarounds when festival deadlines loom, but those cost more and burn people out. Better to build realistic schedules from the start.

Do you handle international deliverables?

Daily. The various streaming platforms require their own technical specifications because Netflix requires IMF packages with particular audio channel arrangements but Amazon follows its own quality evaluation process and Apple TV+ needs Dolby Vision support. We stay current on all of them. For broadcast, we deliver to EBU R128 loudness standards that Italian and European channels require. The testing process for Cinema DCPs takes place on theater servers which we use before starting the delivery process.

Can you match existing looks or brand guidelines?

The colorists at our studio use LUTs and CDLs and reference stills for their work which includes both season matching and brand consistency maintenance and director reference look duplication. The suite offers monitors which have been calibrated to create proper viewing conditions for delivering an authentic theater experience of your approved content. The team creates show LUTs for series work which remain consistent between different episodes and seasons.

What formats can you work with?

Everything current: ARRIRAW, RED R3D, Sony Venice X-OCN, Blackmagic RAW, ProRes in all flavors. We've also dealt with legacy formats when archive material enters the cut—digibeta, HDCAM SR, even film scans. The Rome facilities we work with maintain both modern infrastructure and the older decks for when you need them.
