Rome's most famous fountain, immortalized in La Dolce Vita. The baroque masterpiece draws massive crowds but offers stunning visuals.
Elegant 18th-century stairway connecting Piazza di Spagna to Trinità dei Monti church. Fashion shoots and romantic scenes.
Authentic Roman neighborhood with cobblestoned alleys, ivy-draped buildings, and vibrant nightlife. Perfect for romantic and lifestyle content.
Ancient ruins of the Roman Republic's civic center. Dramatic columns, triumphal arches, and 2,000-year-old temples.
Rome's Central Park with English gardens, neoclassical temples, lake, and views of the city. Versatile for various genres.
1940s rationalist architecture district. The 'Square Colosseum' (Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana) offers striking geometric backdrops.

Scene 03 — The Case for Rome

Scene 04 — Logistics
Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) — 32km / 30-50 min
Rome Ciampino Airport (CIA) — 15km / 30-45 min
metro
3 lines (A, B, C) covering major tourist areas. Runs 5:30am-11:30pm (1:30am Fri/Sat). Limited coverage of historic center.
Crew tip: Metro filming requires ATAC authorization (2+ weeks). Most of Centro Storico is not served by metro - plan surface transport.
bus
Extensive network reaching all neighborhoods. Trams serve Trastevere and northern areas. Night buses (notturni) available.
Crew tip: Bus 40/64 connect Termini to Vatican but are crowded. Tram 8 useful for Trastevere shoots.
taxi
White licensed taxis available at stands. Fixed rates from airports. Supplement for luggage and night service.
Crew tip: Radio Taxi (060609) for advance bookings. Free Now app works well.
rideshare
Uber operates in Rome (UberX and Black). Bolt and Free Now also available.
Historic center (ZTL zones) restricts vehicle access. Limited street parking outside ZTL. Underground parking expensive (€3-6/hour).
Production vehicle permits through Roma Film Commission for ZTL access. Base camp typically at Circo Massimo, EUR, or Cinecittà area.
Central Rome is walkable but cobblestones slow equipment transport. Colosseum to Trevi: 20 min walk / 10 min taxi. Centro to EUR: 20 min metro. Traffic very heavy during rush hours (8-10am, 5-8pm). Consider golf carts for Centro Storico equipment moves.
