Motion control rigs answer a specific and demanding need: identical, frame-accurate camera moves repeated across multiple passes for VFX compositing, multi-element photography, automotive tabletops and the high-end product cinematography that defines the Italian fashion, luxury, food and automotive sectors.

Here is the short of it. Our set up inventory has Mark Roberts Milo systems for large-scale moves on full-size cars and talent, Bolt and the new Bolt X high-speed robotic arms favoured by Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Alfa Romeo directors working out of Maranello, Sant'Agata Bolognese and Turin, Modula multi-axis sites and smaller tabletop rigs for macro work, liquid pours and food cinematography commissioned by Lavazza, Illy, Barilla, San Pellegrino, Ferrero and Campari.

Here is the breakdown. We work out of Cinecittà in Rome with its twenty-plus volumes and Studio 22's 38,000 square feet of ICVFX-ready space, Lumiq Studios in Turin with its dedicated LED volume and automotive heritage, Stop-Service rental in Rome and Milan-side facilities serving the fashion industry around Via Tortona and the Brera district — so productions can pair motion control with LED-wall stages, drive-in tanks or fully lit insert sets within a single site tricky without breaking the schedule.

Here is what that looks like on the ground. Pre-visualisation sits at the heart of the process. Our crew programmes camera paths in software, times them against animatics and signs them off before stage time is consumed. This lets DPs and clients refine moves before talent or product arrives at Cinecittà, Lumiq or the Milan-side facilities. On the day, frame-accurate repeats deliver every pass a VFX team needs: hero takes, clean plates, lighting passes, multi-pass element photography and matched moves, with motion data, camera tracking metadata and lens metadata exported alongside the footage to OpenEXR or ProRes deliverables.

Here is how the picture comes together. Our team integrates directly with Italy's award-winning VFX houses — Frame by Frame in Rome, twice a David di Donatello VFX winner, EDI Effetti Digitali Italiani in Milan and Rome, Square Post Production in Milan and Cinecittà Post — and aligns schedules with the forty-per-cent global Italian Tax Credit timelines under the Cinema Italian Plan that global productions rely on.
