Lighting modifier stock in Italy is split across Panalight Rome and Milan, Stop-Service, Cinegrip, and Cinecittà Rental on the Tuscolana campus. Our rental team books the full DoPchoice Snapbag and Snapgrid range for SkyPanel S60, S120, and S360, Aputure 1200d Pro and Nova P600c, and ARRI L-series fixtures. Chimera softboxes run from the small on-camera Quartz Plus up to the Pro Plus XXL, and we add LightTools 40 and 60 degree grids. And frame stock spans 4x4 through 20x20 with matched Magic Cloth, 1/4 and 1/2 grid, Full Soft Frost, Hilite, Hi-Lite, and double net options.
Mediterranean light pushes the modifier list in two directions. On one side, heavy 20x20 silks and Ultrabounce panels go on Avenger and Matthews stands to knock down the hard Sicilian sun at Noto and the Amalfi reflectance. On the other, tight negative fill with duvetyn solids and floppies suits the dim Florentine palazzo interiors and the marble-reflective Centro Storico locations in Rome, where the build style alone can't control bounce.
Each modifier kit is staged in numbered grip cases and walked through with the key grip during prep at the warehouse, so the truck loadout matches the order of the shooting day. Corner pieces, spreader bars, and Junior pin adapters are taped and counted against a master checklist.
Italian best boys and grip teams from the CCNL Cinema Audiovisivo pool handle the rigging. We factor Soprintendenza limits on stand placement at heritage sites into the modifier list. We give a full range, including 1/4, 1/2, full, and double diffusion, plus grid cloths, muslin, and specialty materials. Each one gives a different softness and lets through a different amount of light.
Do you provide reflectors and bounce?
Yes, we have shiny boards (mirrors), beadboards, foam core, Griffolyn, and specialty reflective materials. Bounce is key for adding fill and steering light, above all on location.
What about flags and negative fill?
We carry full flag sets, including solids, cutters, and nets in all standard sizes. Black materials like duvetyn are ready for negative fill, which is key for building contrast.
Can you provide large overhead setups?
Yes, we supply full butterfly and overhead systems, including frames, textiles, and all the rigging you need. Large overheads are key for soft ambient light on exteriors and big interior spaces.
