Complete lighting packages from Italian rental partners

Lighting kit rental in Italy is anchored by Panalight Rome and Milan, Stop-Service, Cinecittà Rental on the Via Tuscolana campus, Lumiq Studios in Turin, and Cinegrip. Bartolini Roma, Cargo Studios Bologna, and Movie People cover the regional spread. Shoots hit that spread when they jump from a Cinecittà sound stage to a Lambrate or Bovisa warehouse in Milan, an Amalfi exterior, the Dolomite altitude positions above Cortina, or a Sicilian baroque street shoot.

Across that network our team books the full LED, HMI, and tungsten stack. This covers ARRI SkyPanel S30, S60, S120, and S360 sets, Litepanels Gemini 2x1 and 1x1 hard and soft, Aputure 1200d Pro, Nova P600c and the LS 600x family, and ARRI M-series HMIs from M8 through M90. We also book K5600 Joker2 800/1600 and Alpha 4K/9K/18K Pars, Mole-Richardson Big Eye Tens and 18K Wendy tungsten, full ARRI T-series Fresnels, Source Four ellipsoidals, and the Astera Titan and Hyperion tube range for practical work.

Grip stock runs alongside it. We stage Matthews and Avenger C-stands, combos, 4x4 through 20x20 frames, Magic Cloth, 1/4 and 1/2 grid, Ultrabounce, Griffolyn, and duvetyn flag families. The gaffer and key grip then work from a single staged inventory list before truck loadout.

Each package leaves the warehouse load-tested. We cycle the electronic ballasts, colour-check LED fixtures against the camera's white point, and verify Master TC sync across the SkyPanel and Aputure stock. Dimmer curves are logged on the DMX, Art-Net, and sACN boards, and the Bates feeder, distro boxes, and Socapex multi-cable are pre-coiled and labelled for the run order. Italian gaffers and best boys from the AIC and CCNL Cinema Audiovisivo pool handle load calculations, neutral and earth checks, and tie-in planning with the location electricians and the local ENEL or city mains supplier.

We stage silent power packs from Pramac, SDMO, FB Group, and Multiquip for locations without trusted mains. These include Cinque Terre cliffside positions, the Pompei archaeological park (where Soprintendenza needs on-power-only fixtures and routed cable runs), Dolomite altitude shoots above Cortina, and the Sicilian baroque streets at Noto and Modica, where shore-loading limits and ZTL access shape each truck route and lighting plan. ENPALS and INAIL forms are filed in prep, and the Italian Cinema Plan 40% rebate records move through MiC channels. ATA carnets clear at Fiumicino, Malpensa, and Linate cargo, and a 24-hour replacement cycle out of Rome and Milan keeps shoot days running clean.

Booking lead time is built into how we plan. We hold standard packages two to three weeks ahead. Large or specialty rigs need four to six weeks in the Rome and Milan peak season. Our team locks fixtures, grip, and backup units early. We also keep a rush channel open for late script changes. When a shoot day expands or a unit goes down, the 24-hour swap out of Rome and Milan turns the order around fast. So the gaffer never waits on light.

FAQ

Lighting Rental Expertise

What lighting equipment do you supply?

We source all pro lighting kit, including HMI (ARRI M-Series, Joker), LED (SkyPanel, Gemini, Aputure), tungsten (fresnels, practicals), and specialty fixtures. Full grip packages come with stands, flags, diffusion, and rigging. We also have power distribution and dimming systems ready.

How far in advance should I book lighting equipment?

We suggest booking standard packages 2-3 weeks ahead. Large packages or specialty gear may need 4-6 weeks, above all in busy periods. Rush services are ready for urgent needs.

Can you provide gaffers and lighting crew?

Yes. We can arrange full lighting crews, including gaffers, best boys, electricians, and rigging teams, to work alongside your gear package. Each crew is skilled with the exact gear in your rental.

Do you handle power requirements?

We set up full power solutions, including power pack rental, distribution systems, tie-ins, and load calculations. Our team checks the power supply at your locations and recommends the right setup.

What about lighting for specific locations in Italy?

We have deep experience with Italy's varied locations, from historic estates with tight power to remote exteriors that need power pack support. Our team designs lighting packages to suit each site's challenges.

Can you provide specialty lighting equipment?

Yes. We source specialty lighting such as balloon lights, Dino/Maxi fixtures, underwater lighting, architectural LED, and practical fixtures. We work with specialty rental houses across Europe to find exact gear.

Productions in Italy that need this often pair it with HMI & Tungsten Lights and Lighting Modifiers for full coverage. Most projects also draw on Power Equipment Rental and Camera Equipment Rental.
