SCENE 01 / WIRELESS SYSTEMS

Wireless Systems

Complete wireless infrastructure for your Italian production.

Scroll

Wireless communication and audio systems keep your production teams linked and audio flowing without cables. They cover wireless intercoms, IFB feeds, audio hops, and comms networks. These are key when you spread a large crew across wide sets or far-flung locations.

We supply wireless packages built for your show's own communication and audio needs. Our team plans the frequencies and tests every unit so nothing clashes on the air. That gives you clean crew communication and steady audio across the whole shoot.

Our Process

1

RF Survey

We scan your locations to read the RF environment and find clean frequencies.

2

System Design

We design one joined-up wireless solution that covers audio, video, and control.

3

Frequency Coordination

We assign and log every frequency so all systems run without interference.

4

Production Support

We track the RF and stand by to help across your whole shoot.

On Location

Integrated wireless infrastructure for Italian productions

Wireless setups on an Italian feature or series carry far more than the audio chain alone. They push wireless video to the director and client villages, IFB to the cast, lens control to the focus puller, and intercom across many departments. On broadcast work for Sky Italia or Rai they may also run ENG-style camera-to-base hops.

Our team builds joined-up wireless packages from proven gear. Teradek Bolt 4K and Vaxis Storm transmitters feed the video village with zero latency, Preston FIZ and ARRI WCU-4 sets handle lens control, Tilta Nucleus steps in where a lighter rig fits, and Riedel and Clear-Com matrices carry the comms layer. Audio runs on Lectrosonics, Wisycom, and Sennheiser, all keyed to the same RF plan. That way the wireless follow focus on Cinecittà Studio 5 never clashes with the IEM feed talent is wearing two stages over.

The frequency plan is built against the AGCOM allocation table that replaced the pre-700 MHz range. Each location gets an RF survey before any gear ships, and a logged channel sheet goes to each department head. AITS-trained Italian sound mixers and RF coordinators run the chain with our team. We handle the sign-ups where high-power systems need them, and we process ATA carnet records through the Italian Chamber of Commerce for shoots bringing transmitters in from outside the EU.

Antenna distribution, RF cabling, and combiner stacks are pre-built and labelled at our site. Delivery runs same-day from Roma and next-day to Milano, Torino, Bologna, and Napoli. We also set up transit to the Dolomites or to coastal Sardegna and Sicilia for the unit-base work that drives most large Italian shoots.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What wireless systems do you coordinate?

We set up every production wireless system, from microphones and IFB/IEM to wireless video, lens control, intercom, and any other RF gear. Careful planning keeps all of them working together without interference.

How do you handle frequency allocation?

Our team scans your locations, finds clean frequencies within the Italian legal range, and assigns channels to every department. We then hand over the frequency records and help each department program its gear.

What about wireless video systems?

We supply Teradek Bolt, Vaxis Storm, and other wireless video systems to feed the video village. They send a zero-latency picture, so directors and clients can watch without any cables.

Do you provide wireless lens control?

Yes. We supply wireless follow focus systems such as Preston FIZ, ARRI WCU-4, and Tilta Nucleus. Our team sets the lens control frequencies to sit cleanly alongside the other wireless systems.

What about Italian RF regulations?

We know the Italian frequency rules well and keep all wireless gear inside the legal range. Our team can also advise on the sign-ups that high-power systems need.

Can you support large-scale productions?

Yes. We often run shoots with dozens of wireless channels spread across many departments. The most complex shoots gain the most from full RF planning.

Productions in Italy that need this often pair it with Wireless Microphone Systems, Location Sound Packages, and Boom Microphones for full coverage. Most projects also draw on Communication Systems and Wireless Audio Systems.
