INAIL, the national workplace safety authority, enforces it alongside regional ASL (Azienda Sanitaria Locale) offices. Each production filming in Italy must meet the same rules, from a single-camera commercial in Brera to a multi-unit feature at Cinecittà. Each one must produce a documento di valutazione dei rischi and name a RSPP (responsabile servizio prevenzione e protezione). It must also show skilled oversight for any stunt, pyrotechnic, water, height, or car action.
