Broadcast delivery in Italy rests on the published tech specs of the country's major free-to-air and pay-TV operators. These include Rai Cinema and Rai Fiction, Mediaset/MFE, Sky Italia, La7, plus the streaming arms RaiPlay, NOW TV, and Find+. Each one keeps its own ingest profile, which covers accepted codecs, MXF container structure, audio channel mapping, EBU R128 loudness targets, captioning workflow, and the Italian DPP metadata schema. Our delivery team holds the current spec sheets for every network and prepares masters in step with the published needs. So files clear tech acceptance on the first submission, rather than cycling through rejection notes that put air dates and licensing windows at risk.

For global networks taking Italian content under licence, we run dual-standard delivery. This covers both the domestic Italian master and the localised global version. It serves co-productions with French, German, or Spanish public TV networks, BBC or Channel 4 in the UK, and US cable and streaming buyers.

We handle PAL, NTSC, and HD frame-rate conversions with motion-compensated processing through Snell Alchemist or Cinnafilm Tachyon, not simple frame doubling. Audio is remixed to the destination's loudness target, with R128 for EBU areas and OP-59 for US networks. Closed-caption and subtitle files are reformatted to the container each receiving network prefers. Automated Interra Baton and Venera Pulsar QC runs alongside manual operator review. Each package ships with a written compliance report that logs video levels, audio loudness, safe-area conformance, and metadata completeness, so receiving networks can sign off without escalation.

Every broadcast master we build maps to the network's exact deliverable spec. We wrap files as AS-11 MXF where the receiving network requires it, with the Italian DPP metadata schema fully populated. Video sits within the broadcaster's permitted gamut and level limits, whether the target is Rec.709 HD or a Rec.2020 HDR feed. Audio channels are mapped to the network's stem layout. This precise match to spec is what lets files clear ingest cleanly, the first time.

Turnaround is built around the air date, never the other way round. We confirm the full spec sheet at the start. We then schedule conform, conversion, QC, and any fix passes against the network's submission window. For tight slots, our mastering team runs extended hours and parallel QC stations. We share status at each stage and flag any media gap early. So a missing caption file or audio stem never holds a master back from its broadcast slot.

We protect each master from ingest through to final hand-off. Source files are checked against MD5 or xxHash signatures on arrival. Working masters are held on access-controlled, redundant storage. Every operator who touches the project is logged. Delivery to each network runs over the secure route they require. We keep the approved master and its compliance report on file. So if a re-version or second-window delivery is needed, the production can pull a verified package later.
